Driving Tours

The Aireys Inlet Getaway Resort is handy to many attractions in the area and is an ideal base for day or half-day driving tours. The best tours include –

Driving from Aireys to Port Campbell along the famous Great Ocean Road to the Twelve Apostles. Stop by the way at Lorne, and make sure you stop at 'Teddy's Lookout', arguably one of the best viewing platforms in Australia. Stop at Wye River, either have a meal at the newly renovated pub or the renovated general store cafe; Apollo Bay, Lavers Hill and many other small towns.

The Surf Coast hinterland, leading to the lovely old town of Birregurra, and is home to historic mansions, wineries, antique shops and tearooms. You can also follow the Winchelsea Heritage Trail and visit twelve historic sites, including the Barwon Hotel, built in 1842, and the Barwon Park Historical Homestead.
