Marine Parks

The Eagle Rock Marine Sanctuary covers 17 hectares and extends 300 meters off shore from the Split Point lighthouse. It extends from the mouth of the Painkalac Creek to Castle Rock and, on calmer days, you can snorkel or dive and explore the waters off the point, which are home to a diverse array of sea life, including marine invertebrates, fish and even the occasional Port Jackson shark.

Located between Anglesea and Torquay, the 4,600 hectare Point Addis Marine National Park occupies ten kilometers of rugged coastline that bears the brunt of the heavy swells often emerging from the depths of Bass Strait, impacting on the geography and sea life in the area.
