Perfect family holiday break. We decided to come here as we were after a quiet break from our noisy and busy lives in melbourne. We read the noise curfew signs and were very glad that everyone here was also here for a quiet break, all you can here in the evening is the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, not like at home where all you here are cars and sirens!!!.If you are after a place that is family orientated and very safe , this is the place. I would like to thank the Staff and Sue the Manager for all the effort that they put into the resort, the outdoor amenities are tidied and cleaned up every morning and night. My only suggestion would be to have a covered outdoor area for games such as: table tennis, billiards etc, as if the weather isn`t great then the kids can still go and play. We think Aireys is the West Coast's best kept secret. You have both the Inlet and the surf beach to swim in, great beach walks and local activities, plus of course the tennis court, pool and spa. Being roughly half way between Lorne and Anglesea means everything is at your fingertips but without the crowds and the hustle and bustle of those large centres. You can stroll to the Aireys pub for dinner with the kids or be at Anglesea or Lorne within 15 minutes if you want; and then wander up to the local shops for a coffee, paper and breakfast first thing in the morning. The sound of the rolling surf as you go off to sleep at night is special.”

"A group of 11 people stayed in Villa 2 & 3. These 2 villas were ideal for this amount of people with one of the villas having a much larger lounge/dining area for group meal times. The décor was very new and pleasing to the eye and both villas were extremely well equipped. The outside areas had plenty to do for all ages and consideration was given to guests as far as the BBQ and outside eating areas, with cooking tools and the likes provided by the resort. Value for money was excellent. We are rebooking for next year."

"We came by Aireys Inlet Getaway by accident. We’d been to Aireys Inlet for a day trip and decided to see if we could find overnight accommodation. What a great place we stumbled upon. The staff were very hospitable and friendly. They had a room ready for us within minutes of our enquiring about a vacancy. The 4 of us stayed in one of the deluxe cabins comfortably. The rooms are very beautifully decorated. All very modern. The huge corner spa and gas fire heater make you never want to leave. The rooms are so very clean. It’s a pity we couldn’t stay longer than a night. The well equipped kitchen and in room laundry facilities make for a very comfortable and affordable long stay. We went during low season- I’m certain we would need to book well in advance in the summer."

The villa oozed romance - fireplace, spa, nature, beautiful decor, beach walks, starry clear night sky, birds fluttering onto the balcony, privacy and our own lovely in room dining so we could stay in – a lot. I loved this place almost as much as l love my new husband. "Our family have had the opportunity to stay at this lovely resort for a few years now and the experience just keeps getting better and better. The one thing that must be said is that you do feel like you're away in your own holiday house (and also have use of a pool, spa, tennis court and activities) even though there about 10 villa's on site. It must be the peaceful surroundings and the tranquillity of the area that brings the best out in people. The staff at the resort are extremely friendly and helpful which is a nice change to renting a house (with no help) or staying at a hotel. They really do go out of their way to help out. The only downside is that occasionally cars must travel through the resort to get to their villas (ever so slowly) but I must admit that this is a bonus when you offload/upload your car with your luggage. The family love the place so we will definitely be coming back and because of it's location you get to go to both Lorne and Anglesea/Torquay yet stay in a place which is not overpopulated."

"Aireys Inlet is one of the most beautiful beach destinations in the world. All year round the spectacular ocean views and atmosphere capture your heart. My husband and l love it so much, that we got married and had our honeymoon there 14 years ago. My family have been staying every year for the past 15, at a wonderful place called "Aireys Inlet Getaway" Resort, What a fantastic find!!!!!!! It is sensational, the place has that "l just want to come back here" feeling. There are about 8 villas of different sizes, set in a wonderful huge garden, with a creek running through it. We stayed last time, in one of the luxury family Villa's. The kids loved it, they swam non stop in the pool, jumped in and out of the spa, played tennis and fed the friendly bird life. Spent hours on the beach, went horse riding. We have booked the place out on numerous occasions for family and friend reunions and had a ball. The local restaurants and town pub are also fantastic. The Getaway Resort is on the ocean side of the Great Ocean Road, and a 3 minute walk to the beach, lighthouse and bird sanctuary. The staff there are soooooooo lovely and friendly, which is one reason why we always go back there."

"The perfect family holiday - relaxation, activities aplenty, sun, surf, barbeques, and fab local food. We went with our whole extended family. Each of us had our own spacious villa. I was worried we would be bored because Aireys Inlet is a small town. But it turned out to be far better than staying within the crowds of nearby Lorne or Anglesea. The resort is centred around a pool and tennis court with gardens to run around in -so the kids were never bored and we could keep an eye on them. Also l loved being able to sneak off to the quiet privacy of our villa when l wanted to read a book or day time snooze. But other times we all gathered together in the barbeque area or headed off to one of the local restaurants. Surf club or pub - all of which were in walking distance. But my favourite place to hang out was on the spectacular beach (again walking distance)-where we flew kites, swam, fished and wandered up to the lighthouse cafe for cookies and a cuppa. Overall l would say -go stay - it will become your families favourite holiday - it has for us."

My wonderful friends flew in from Hong Kong, Perth and Queensland.
Getaway was the perfect destination that we could all gather together. We loved the walks on the beach cliffs, we loved coffee at skinny legs, we loved dinner around the bbque, we loved wines in the garden and we loved all being together. Thanks Getaway for a wonderful and memory filled holiday.
